Different jigs are designed for different types of printable objects and may affect the available Alignment methods and printing workflows.
After a printer is connected, the App automatically reads the currently installed jig. If the jig cannot be identified automatically, you need to select it manually based on the actual installation.
After selecting a printer, you can view the current jig in the device information area.
There are two jig identification states:
Automatically identified: The App displays the jig detected by the printer. No manual selection is required.
Not identified: The App displays the default jig or the last-used jig. Confirm that it matches the jig currently installed.
Jigs that can be automatically identified include:
A3 Printbed
A4 Electrostatic Mat
Rotary
Roll to Roll
Jigs that require manual confirmation include:
A4 Tray
Golf Jig
Pen Jig
When the printer cannot identify the currently installed jig:
After you manually select a jig, the App remembers the last-used jig for that printer. If the printer is still unable to identify the jig the next time it connects, the App automatically restores the previous selection.
Note: A4 Tray is only the default option when the jig cannot be identified. Before printing, make sure that the jig shown in the App matches the jig actually installed on the printer.
To switch jigs during the Design stage:
Switching jigs during the Alignment stage invalidates the current alignment result.
To switch jigs:
After entering Create from Object, the device list displays the current jig for each printer.
If you physically replace the jig on the printer, the App automatically updates the current configuration.
Replaced during the Design stage: The App updates the jig and related features.
Replaced during the Alignment stage: The current Alignment result is cleared, and the App returns to the Design stage so you can start again.
When the printer can identify the installed jig, the detected result overrides any previous manual selection.
If the installed jig is not supported by the current App version or printer firmware, follow the on-screen instructions to update to the latest version.
After the update is complete and the printer reconnects, the App reads the jig status again.
